Hackers Steal Millions in Carbon Credits

I just read this interesting article on wired.com about a group of hackers that "stole" millions in carbon credits by breaking into the German Emissions Trading Authority site and rewriting some of the log entries there on which companies had how many credits left, etc.

Interesting to note that where government creates an artificial scarcity, the perceived value of that good (in this case, carbon emissions) skyrockets to the point where illicit activities become more and more tempting. Same thing happened during Prohibition with the start of organized crime.
You guys think we'll be seeing more incidents like this in the future?
